New corporate headquarters for microshare™ as business expands

PHILADELPHIA, PA— 6 June 2017 – The software and data governance firm microshare™ has moved into new corporate headquarters at 1900 Market Street in Philadelphia’s Center City district to capitalize on the proximity to major clients and other innovation and development teams.

The Philadelphia-based firm, founded in 2013 was previously in the University City district near Drexel University and works with major clients in real estate, media, financial tech, and transportation and has become a leading provider of data governance solutions for the so-called Fourth Generation Internet powered by the Internet of Things (IoT).

Microshare has developed a comprehensive data governance software for the IoT era, whose millions of new sensors threaten to swamp traditional data analytics, security and compliance regimes. The firm’s patent-pending software enables a granular parsing of the torrent of Big Data implicit in the advent of IoT to enable a compliant, secure and contract-ready monetization of data streams through APIs. This crucial governance layer is absent from current middleware solutions.

Ron Rock, CEO of microshare, said locating the firm’s headquarters staff at WeWork – including much of microshare’s dev team – positions them with similar innovation teams from IBM, Comcast and other major players. “We benefited enormously in our startup phase from our association with Drexel’s innovation hub in University City,” Rock said. “It’s time now for us to make room for others in that space and to spread our wings in the real economy.”

The company also maintains staff in New York, Boston, San Francisco, and has a subsidiary in Europe based in the UK.
