David WestromPHILADELPHIA –Microshare Inc., the leading data sharing and digital compliance company, has named veteran business development and software executive Dave Westrom as Executive Vice President and Global Sales Lead, the company announced Wednesday.

Westrom helped build Internet of Things (IoT) pioneer ThingWorx into a market leader and has held senior posts at several Fortune 500 companies. He joins Microshare at a time of growth as the company expands its business in Europe and North America and begins a push into the Asia-Pacific market.

“We are pleased to welcome Dave Westrom to the Microshare team,” said Microshare CEO Ron Rock, whose firm is pioneering smart city, facilities, and health care IoT applications and is a leading member of the LoRa Alliance. “With his extensive IoT background and experience in developing and growing customers and partner ecosystems, he is a key addition to our executive team as we accelerate the growth of Microshare.”

At ThingWorx, Westrom created and led the global partner program while simultaneously driving the EMEA and Asia-Pacific sales operations. Prior to ThingWorx, Dave held senior executive and sales roles at Lighthammer (acquired by SAP), Invensys (now Schneider Electric), Wonderware, ABB, and GE. Dave has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.

“Microshare’s unique IoT data sharing platform was a big draw for me along with the many successful customer deployed applications and solutions that leverage the platform. The biggest attraction, however, was the passion and dedication of the Microshare team and the commitment to ensuring the success of their customers and partners.
