PHILADELPHIA, PA.– Microshare Inc., a leading provider of Smart Building and sustainability data solutions, has expanded its sales presence in Europe with the hiring of Lake Geneva-based sales executive, Finn Toennessen.

Microshare’s EverSmart suite of Smart Facilities solutions provide global giants Glaxo-Smithkline, Aramark, and Rent-A-Center, with a reassured workforce and tenant-customer safety within indoor spaces, all while producing operational efficiencies and data insights that boost ESG (Environment | Social | Governance) ratings.

“Finn is an amiable, polyglot and well-traveled executive with deep contacts in the business world throughout Central Europe, particularly in the hotel and hospitality space,” said Microshare CEO and Co-Founder Ron Rock. “He has played an integral role in helping raise our profile in Switzerland since 2020. He lead our demo deployment at the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, which has led to huge growth potential both in Switzerland and in neighboring EU markets.”

Toennessen spent over 25 years in the Hotel & Hospitality sector in both Norway and Switzerland. He previously served as a director at a 4-star wellness hotel in Valais, Switzerland and has run international events at a major conference center in Geneva. Being active as co-chair of British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Lausanne, Finn is a networker by passion.

A Norwegian by birth and former officer of the country’s air force, Toennessen has lived in Switzerland since 2003 and is a graduate with a degree in business administration from the University in Fribourg. He is married with two children and splits his time between Lausanne, Geneva, and Zürich.

From his Lake Geneva perch, Toennessen will serve as Managing Director, Switzerland and a Director of Business Development for Europe
