EverSmart Smart Building solutions take center stage at Paris LoRa World Expo conference

PARIS, July 6 – Microshare took pride of place at the influential LoRa World Expo conference here in the French capital, with our powerful EverSmart™ solutions and real world case studies being praised by partners and clients alike, including Microsoft, CBRE and others.
The Expo, hosted by the LoRa Alliance®, features some of the most powerful names in technology and business who gather each year to highlight the transformational power of the LoRaWAN® bandwith for Internet of Things and Smart Building data solutions. In a keynote on the first day, Microsoft Partner and GM for Azure IoT, Tony Shakib, noted that Microshare and other partners had proven the ROI of their technology by leveraging both LoRaWAN and the Azure cloud. Microshare was featured as a “Best of Breed Partner” in Shakib’s presentation.
Also in Paris, Microshare announced the launch of React-M, a powerful new app that links Smart Building data and Digital Twins with practical business operations. The app debuted at the LoRaWAN World Expo in Paris and was subject to global media coverage.
The day began with Charles Paumelle, Microshare’s Chief Product Officer and Co-Founder, being introduced as one of the six masters of ceremonies for the well-attended two-day event at Paris’ Palais de Congress. Paumelle, who leads the development of Microshare solutions, including the innovative EverSmart suite, served as director of the marketing committee of the LoRa Alliance in its formative years.
Paumelle said he was amazed at the expansion of LoRaWAN, the world’s fastest growing IoT protocol, and of the Alliance that supports it. “It was interesting to see the mainstreaming of IoT into Microsoft’s Azure and AWS clouds really take root,” Paumelle told a reporter for Tech Target, a prominent technology outlet. “Both companies stressed the plug-and-play nature of their capabilities with LoRaWAN and other protocols, and recently, this was all Greek to them.”
Powerful validation
Later in the day, Michael Moran, Microshare’s CMO and Chief Risk & Sustainability Officer, hosted a roundtable conversation with CBRE Director of Technology and Innovation Jacques Guigui and Microsoft Director of IoT Sales James Lockyer that highlighted deployments of the EverSmart solution set in the UK and in France.
“We have several Microshare solutions in our buildings in France and we are very happy with them,” said Guigui, who is based in Paris. “We have proven the concept fully and we’re looking forward to expanding to more deployments.”
Moran, an early advocate for IoT’s applicability to the creation of sustainability data to meet new Environment, Social and Governance compliance expectations, said the pandemic had seen a complete validation of the idea that IoT data can not only save money and make the most of stretched labor resources but also automate some of the new regulatory expectations regarding climate and duty-of-care disclosures.
Lockyer agreed.
“The role Microshare and Microsoft play in driving digital transformation and enabling businesses to improve building efficiencies has a fantastic benefit in terms of not only reducing energy consumption and therefore costs, but also brand integrity, shareholder satisfaction and investor relation,” said Lockyer.
The session, entitled “How Smart Building Solutions Bring Sustainability and ESG Metrics to the Built World,” also included the premiere of a new Microshare marketing campaign video, “Be EverSmart,” which stresses the company’s determination to address the new demands of the “new normal,” from data-driven cleaning (EverSmart Clean) to air quality (EverSmart Air) to space, wellness, energy and sustainability.
