Zurich Airport, a European leader, chooses Microshare for its over 700 washrooms

ZURICH – Zurich Airport, consistently ranked among Europe’s best for customer experience and innovation globally, has chosen Microshare’s EverSmart solutions to ensure that its passengers and staff have the cleanest, most efficient and responsive facilities possible across its three major terminals.

By deploying EverSmart Washroom, Zurich Airport joins a growing list of hospitals, universities, stadiums and commercial office properties around the world that have embraced Microshare’s mission to “digitize the real world.” As reported by Swiss media reports, “thanks to better data, cleaning will become more efficient. Apart from the frequency and duration, no other information is registered.”

EverSmart Washroom deploys sensors that anonymously provide occupancy and utilization data to airport facilities managers to enable on-demand, data-driven cleaning. Feedback stations in each washroom enable customers to report specific issues (‘need paper’ | ‘soap out’ | ‘toilet clogged’ ) or to register pleasure or displeasure with the state of the washroom. Importantly, no cameras are involved and no Personal Identifiying Information (PII) is collected.
