EverSmart Rodent at PestWorld: ‘Who are those guys?’

For a company still new to North America’s Pest Control market, the acclaim and visibility – followed quickly by sales  – of our EverSmart Rodent remote monitoring solution is humbling.

“This was our first time at PestWorld, having only launched the EverSmart Rodent product officially in Europe at PestEx in March,” says Microshare CEO Ron Rock. “But the buzz around this product, the support from industry giants like VM Products and Veseris, the unsolicited testimonials we’ve received from industry players at FSS and Aardvark, and the exposure of being featured in Dr. Bobby’s keynote speech. It’s more than money could buy, and trust me, we did not buy it.”

Okay, there’s a lot to unpack there. And Ron’s the CEO of Microshare, who EverSmart Rodent. He would say that, wouldn’t he?

For the record, let me take this point-by-point to give you a sense of the facts. Enthusiastic he may be, but Ron is dead right about the splash EverSmart Rodent made at PestWorld.

  • New kid on the block: “Why have I never heard of you,” was the opener from one Boston-based PCO, now a fully-fledged EverSmart Rodent client. “I’ve been looking all around the world since Corteva pulled the plug on ActiveSense, and EverSmart looks better in every way.”
  • The power of partners: VM Products and Veseris reps brought us lead after lead during the show. They also provided the ground support of two large, well-staffed booths since Microshare did not have one of its own its first time at PestWorld. Both of these companies have embraced our “software that makes sense of sensors” approach and are all in on the product. We look forward to the distribution power of Veseris to fulfill all these new orders and, in 2025, rolling out a co-branded VM Products trap in 2025 custom designed to fit our EverSmart Rodent sensors. “You have hard-hitting selling points,” said VM Products CEO Ethan Vickery. “You’re definitely better than the competition, now you need to execute on sales.”
  • Whitepaper600RemotePestControlV4Wowing the decision makers: Microshare hosted a case study breakfast during PestWorld that featured one of our clients, Marty Overline, CEO of Philadelphia’s Aardvark Pest Management, walking through EverSmart Rodent deployments in rodent-plaguedcommercial kitchens. He told invited guests, who included some of the largest and most influential CEOs and executives in the global Pest Control industry, that in just over two months EverSmart Rodent helped him reduce rodent activity by 56% and 39% respectively. “It was nothing short of miraculous,” he told them.
  • Like hot cakes: Since PestWorld ended, eight of the top 50 PCOs in America have purchased EverSmart Rodent starting a journey that will help them provide a superior service, use labor more efficiently and compete with the Big Boys. Conversations are underway with 20+ more players large and small who understand why our “software-first” approach solves so many of the problems that hampered previous systems.
  • Embraced by the best in pest: EverSmart Rodent got a starring role in the PestWorld 2024 keynote speech delivered by Dr. Bobby Corrigan, the renowned rodentologist and advisor to major cities internationally as well as large food corporations. Speaking of his work helping New York City get on top of its rat infestation, Dr. Bobby showed an image of an EverSmart Rodent sensor and said “we’ve been working with a company, Microshare remote sensors. … We’re getting great results. We’re putting these [sensors] all over the place.”

It’s hard to beat that kind of compliment from an acknowledged industry leader like Dr. Bobby, and he delivered that message to an audience of thousands of the world’s leading Pest Control owners, operators and technicians.
