Martha McGeary Snider
Martha McGeary Snider founded Guildford Consulting Group, LLC in 2012 to create innovative approaches to business development and strategic relationship building for new and established companies, foundations and ventures specializing in technology, media, community relations, arts and entertainment.
In addition, Martha serves as Vice President of Organizational Strategy for Source Digital, Inc., a platform for content owners, brands, retailers, educators and influencers to activate untapped revenue and information streams by turning metadata into discoverable ‘commerce in content’.
Martha is a patron of the arts and humanities who advocates for the important role that the arts, creativity, innovation and civility hold in our society. Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell appointed Martha to serve as Policy Advisor on Arts and Culture, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, where she served for both of his terms in office from 2003 through 2011.
In addition to her ownership role, Martha held positions in management and design at Spectacor and Comcast -Spectacor from 1984 to 2000, and most notably led all aspects of design for the Wells Fargo Center, a sports and entertainment arena in Philadelphia.
She has played a key role in founding the Museum of the American Revolution, where she currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board and Chair of the George Washington Council and Revolution Society. As a trustee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art since 1992, Martha serves as Chair of the Acquisitions Committee for European Painting and Sculpture Before 1950.
Martha has also served as a trustee or director on many boards, including the Medici Archive Project in Florence, Italy, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Orchestra, The Board of Visitors of the Temple University Rome Program, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Moore College of Art, The Fairmount Park Conservancy, The Greater Philadelphia Film Office, the Ken Burns American Heritage Prize National Jury for the American Prairie Reserve and Rosemont College, where she established the Martha Snider Scholarship for Italian Study Abroad. She received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award in Philanthropy in 2009.
Martha holds a BFA from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude as an artist and designer and later received the Distinguished Graduate Award from Temple University.
Martha currently resides in Berwyn, Pennsylvania.
