Martin Blackburn is the Managing Director of the EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region for Rackspace Technology, the global cloud solutions and technology consulting firm based in San Antonio. Rackspace announced a global strategic alliance with Microshare in July 2020 to resell and support our Sensing-as-a-Service Digital Twinning services around the world.

Martin’s Rackspace duties focus on delivering profitable revenue growth and as well as assuring that Rackspace Technology defends its reputation as one of the best places to work for all locations throughout the EMEA region.

Martin is an accomplished and inspirational leader with a career that spans many countries and more than 35 years in technology including Marconi, Logica, HP, EDS and IBM. Prior to working at Rackspace Technology, Martin was Operating Partner at Marlin Equity Partners and Executive Chair for a number of Marlin companies. Before Marlin, he held senior positions at the global technology business for IBM in Europe as General Manager, Chief Operating Officer for Europe, General Manager for Benelux and UK & Ireland where he was responsible for outsourcing, consulting, cloud and security services.

He has also held C-level roles with EDS/HP and CGI/Logica. A technologist at heart, Martin began his career in London as an engineer with Marconi advancing to managing director, systems integration.

He currently lives in London with his family.
