Michael Moran directs Microshare.io’s communications and thought leadership and leads the company’s security solutions. A former partner and chief US/macro analyst at global risk consultancy Control Risks, Moran has spent his career helping major corporations adjust to the advent of the digital age. He has launched successful offerings for the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), Roubini Global Economics, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, Renaissance Capital and other clients.
He is also an author of three books, including The Reckoning: Debt, Democracy and the Future of American Power (Palgrave Macmillan), an award-winning documentary producer and a well-known analyst of global political risk. He is also pioneer in online media dating to the 1996 launch of Microsoft’s joint venture with NBC News, MSNBC.com. Moran conceived and produced a digital documentary series at CFR that won s host of honors, including three Emmy awards. He is a Visiting Fellow for Peace and Security at the Carnegie Corporation of New York, an adjunct professor at Bard College’s Globalization and International Affairs program and regular contributor to the World Policy Journal’s podcast, WP On Air. His published or appeared in the Financial Times, The New York Times, Foreign Affairs, Forbes, CNBC, BBC and a variety of other global outlets.
